I think I'd like to be in my 30s again as long as I could have my grand-kids before I had my kids. If I could be in my 30s and my 'kids' were the age that they are now and my grand-kids ditto (except the 19 year old - he should be either 9ish or 29ish) and I had the gravitas that I had in my early 30s with the all optimism but without the responsibility that I had later......

What the heck. I'd be in my 60s from choice. Which is where I am.

Speaking as someone who is old enough to know better but still young enough to do something about it. At the tender age of late thirties there is only one thing I would go back and change. What I did when I left school was all wrong and I wasted a lot of time achieving very little. Shouldn't have done A'levels.

      But that's life!

I will be 60 in a few weeks time. It would be nice to be 25 again for the fitness and health, but only if I can have the knowledge, experience and confidece that I have now

Although it would be nice to go back and right wrongs and do things you should have done or could have done, this would have led your life down a differant path and would you have been the person you are today.
or is this a bit heavy

Naw. I'm afraid I started the 'heavy' when I started quoting from Hamlet, then Bren added to it. I'll know in future to quote from 'The Duchess of Malfi' then all us oldies can commit suicide together.

The river Trent is lovely, I know because I have walked on it for 18 years.

I have had a laugh reading all your posts. The only things I would have changed would have been to be able to spend more time with my Dad and get to know him. I can only just remember him and thats through the few photo's we have. I may not have married so young ( 19 ) but would have had my kids just the same. I have struggled in the past like many of us to pay bills etc, but I am comfortable now, not too much mind. I am what I am because I had a great mum who showed me right from wrong, I chose the path I have walked nobody did it for me. I have made mistakes many times but have learned from them.
I am rich in happiness and love. I wake up every morning with a great feeling of happiness and know I am loved.
If only I had more energy and less grey hair lol.
