It's been dark and gloomy all week in Yorkshire - I was thinking it should be getting lighter now but no sign of it yet.

Bit of both here. It's definitely getting lighter in the evenings.
But it hasn't been proper daylight here all day today. Foul - wet and blustery. Stay indoors weather for me!

I think it's definitely staying (a bit) lighter for longer. I went to shut my chooks away at 4.40 today as usual and they were all still wandering and pecking around
It's great, and it'll be even more noticeable by next week, and the week after. Come on, think positive

We will probably get the awful gloomy weather you all got today.
If its any consolation, we had the most awful storm on Friday night with gale force winds and driving rain, so not out of the woods yet by a long shot.
