It's good to see you again M. Bob - I haven't been on much for a bit, but noticed I hadn't seen you since my return. Really sorry to hear that you've been having a tough time on the work and finances bit. Bah, life can be a b****r

Flum's remark pretty much sums it up - hope it all goes well, you deserve it. I remember one unusual job interview I went to many moons ago - was ushered up into a dusty old loft in a disused rope makers, offered a seat on an upturned milk crate, and passed a tin of beer! Took the job, if only for the novelty value ('twas a seasonal job, painting all kinds of folk art bits and bobs for a well known magazine, sold for hefty sums, unlike my pay!).

Pob luc! (That's good luck, if you hadn't guessed )

Excellent news. It does sound like you'll fit in a treat with them. They must have thought the same thing. Hope it goes really well.

He has already lined me up with his daughter ..... who is 13 and top of her class in English and wants to speak with a real live English person, and would actually give her lessons for free as her dad was kind enough to give me a job.

Well done - sounds good and I hope I get the same kind of break when I need it! Now, you need to make a lucrative link between your work in France and what you know from the vine. Not sure what, but there is more than one idea out there with the other grapes! Something vine related of course!

This just doesnt happen to me!!!
Phoned Olivier this morning after being asked if I could take someone to the local airport on Thursday afternoon, cos I didnt actually know my working hours. I assumed 3 days divided by 15 hours = 5 hours a day??
I asked him if this was the case and he said ........... "oh bah bien sur non Bob"

Turns out I am signing a contract tomorrow for more hours per week, which is handy, and he also said if I need to finish early for airport runs etc, not in the slightest bit a problem, I can just pop away early that day. Unreal.
Oh and yesterdays roast guinea fowl dinner for 1 was scrummy, will be a sandwich today for lunch and then a stock made from whats left.
