Our local garden centre has crackers and games in one package. Can't remember what they're called, but different colours mean different types of games.Originally posted by Pumpkin Becki View PostI'll bring the crackers and silly games - that'll keep us entertained for a while

I'm not going all the way from the Norty Step to Bedfordshire to pick up cracker/games compendium, you'll have to bring them yourself and I'll thing of something else to bringOriginally posted by HeyWayne View PostOur local garden centre has crackers and games in one package. I saw this yesterday and decided to let you all play for a dayOriginally posted by Pumpkin Becki View PostDon't worry, Alison, Zazen will catch on to us in a minute and send us all to the Norty Step, she always does
Its like she's psychic or something

However, this is a little further than I would have liked it to have gone.Originally posted by ginger ninger View PostOnly 51 more sleeps and He'll be coming down my chimney....how exciting that.
Seeing as you are all being good and playing nicely, and as long as food and drink and games are being discussed - I think we can let it slide.
I emptied out the wood burner at the weekend, and polished the front glass in anticipation of a nice fire being lit in the weeks to come. I feel toastie just thinking about it; glass of red in hand, book being read, fire blazing and cinnamon biscuits on the table. Lovely.

Not quite yet; not until my christmassy candle is opened and starts wafting cloves and oranges round the front room. I'm that tight that it is now 3 years old; and only actually gets lit for a few hours each year as I don't like the burning candle smell and I think it smells better unlit than lit.Originally posted by Headfry View Postsoooooooo Zazen do we detect a little bit of the wintery and dare I say 'Christmas'y' thing happening here
Maybe in 4 weeks time; I still have to get through bonfire night, and my niece's birthday before I get into the party mood. Being made redundant isn't helping
but that's life.

Well, I don't think your a hopeless parent... Look what your son's doing for charity, he must have been brought up really well to want to help others, you give your self a big pat on the back, you should be very proud of him...and yourself.Originally posted by FionaH View PostI am a hopeless parent I really am
