Another exile here, born Redruth but raised around Grampound Road/Probus area before heading off to Newquay, I have a daughter that lives in TMS so I do visit quite often and go see the oldies at the same time.

I confess! I wasn't born in Cornwall but have lived here for 33 years and 2 of my chidlren were born here (the other 2 in Nottinghamshire).

I was born in Woking - I think the hospital was there as I haven't been back since I was 2 weeks old - but coming to Cornwall in 1976 was like coming home (I think my Irish roots have something to do with that!)

I only lived a mile from the border anyway so it wasn't to bad. The biggest change was going from living on a farm in the middle of nowhere to a small town. I have a 2 small raised beds and some pots with strawberrys at our place in town but because allotments are in short supply I "borrowed" a large area of my parents veg patch, its quite difficult to time things because of the slightly different micro-climates. so i have to becareful when i raise seedlings at home (which is in Bude) and take them to the farm which is about 7 miles away inland.

Dropped off the vine for a while due to family stuff, but I'm still here kicking my heels on the North Cornwall/Devon border!
