Shooting stars

Was out for about an hour and saw LOADS Absolutely amazing! Some were really quite big and bright. WOW WOW WOW!

Had to force myself home after an hour of standing by myself in the middle of a field at the back of the village (REALLY safe!!!) been telling myself "just another one" for the twenty minutes before then but then just HAD to see another before leaving....

Roll on the Orionids - then meteors AND my favourite constellation!

Me too, but perhaps we're not saddo's - maybe it's just that the rest of the world is out of step with us.

I am so gutted I missed this one as was mine and hubbys 6th anniversary would have been really nice

A couple of days later we were eating out in the evening and I saw a couple of meteors- but going in different directions!!
One was N-S and the other was S-N....very bright and long- which direction were the Perseid meteors travelling???

Saw 2 what I now believe were Iridium flares!!! always wondered what these kind of flashes were that I have seen over last couple of years!
