The great HeyWayne's Workplace Chilli Off

My mother in law grew some chilli plants from a pack of seeds, there is one that has she been proudly displaying because it is a lot bigger than all the rest, I thought the leaves looked a bit odd for a chilli, and now sure enough it has turned into a dock/sorrel! We have been ribbing her about it mercilessly!
Still at least she has grown something, my purple tiger seeds didn't germinate at all, hmph.

Slight error in description - they're not Purple Tiger, but Trifetti.
Luckily the plants are similar - abundance of small chillis rather than a few bigguns.
Anyhoo - I'm trying to work out the rules for winning.
I've suggested it's sensible for "most grown" rather than "biggest grown", but when should the cut-off be? Sept 30th sound sensible?
I think I'll suggest that whoever has the most chillis on their plant on that date wins.
Waddya reckon?A simple dude trying to grow veg. http://haywayne.blogspot.com/

What I don't want to do is set the date too early that there are no fruit, but like you say, I don't want to set it too late that we're past the growing season.
The plants are all about 8 inches high at the moment, with 4-5 sets of
"branches". Will they grow enough this year?A simple dude trying to grow veg. http://haywayne.blogspot.com/

Just what I was thinking, sounds like a great idea. Great way to get other people to do the workOriginally posted by Incy View PostAdded bonus being that you can take the unwanted chillies home with you afterwards
Not that I'm suggesting that was the original intention.
