This is not a day job, we don't get paid for doing it. My kids are home from school on their Easter holidays, and I'd like to spend some time with them without worrying what's going on here. (I went out for the afternoon yesterday and came back to a barrage of PMs and emails. Luckily Andrea was here to deal with it)
Having spent nearly 3 years on the Vine I am becoming well accustomed to the signs of a possible spat. This was one that I chose to put on hold until I could be sure of keeping a proper eye on it, which won't be until the kids are in bed.
In future, if you don't agree with a Mod's decision please use the PMing system to raise the issue. Thanks

Geo....we don't get paid for this, if we did then we wouldn't be on here evenings and weekends....We aren't supposed to be watching EVERY thread 24 hours a day. Which is what we end up doing some of the time.

I think the mods do a good job at least they keep the spammers at bay another forum I am a member of was plagued by them(sorted now)

I could never be a mod I am politically biased, opinionated & would offend too many members.
Being a mod must not be the easiest task to do & I sympathise with any decision they take.

The point of this forum is GYO...that is what attracted us to this place.

I wouldn't want to be a Mod- I've always made that fact clear...BUT I DO respect where they are coming from.

There are plenty of offensive forums out there if peeps need to argue!

I agree with a person's right to express themselves...BUT we all have different beliefs and views/opinions on here- and we need to respect others peeps views...we are all right in our own way.
The Mods are carefully chosen-and we only have 3 for 24 hrs...how many of us would commit ourselves for 8hrs a day..regularly?????..for NO pay???

Come on folks..give the mods a break- i actually think they are very tolerant and need our support.
There may be a few newbies on the Vine who may not be aware of our special relationship between all the members and mods( having seen how others get away with offensive/sensitive discussions on other forums)..it's what 'we' are famous for!!!!!

Bite yr tongues peeps for now...there are a lot of 'oldies' who are not happy with the way the Vine is changing

it depends what your opinion is, if it is offensive or targeting others, then there is the possibility you can be banned, this forum has rules like the others....we dont like trouble makers on ere!

I would also like to point out that if any body else has any objections to posts there is the red triangle in the top right hand corner of the post to report this fact to the mods.
Attacking the mods openly is not fair or polite.

Perhaps I need a clocking in and out card If I was getting paid minimum wage for this, I'd be averaging over �60 a day at the moment, and probably exceeding the maximum working hours per week too. I'm usually here til the wee hours, when spammers are their most active. I don't grudge it, not a bit, I'd be here anyway coz I love the Vine, and that's why I took on the job.
