  • A child speaks the truth

A friend of mine said that last night whilst watching the news his 5 year old daughter recoiled from the television and said something like "I don't like that scary lady daddy" - who was on the television?

    Michael Jackson.

    Sad.

Bashfull Bill is scared of the advert showing the man having a stroke. He hates the fire in the mans forehead and (quite often on at teatime and yes I am afraid we watch tv then - terrible mother! LOL!!!) he has to get down from the table and hide till the ad is finished.

DD's convinced the best way to treat someone having a stroke is to throw a bucket of water on them!!(to put out the flames)...I have tried to explain to her that it's special effects, but as she's nearly 7 she is quite obviously right!!

As for MJ...not sure why he thinks it,but Andi doesn't think it was actually him!!??
the fates lead him who will;him who won't they drag.

Happiness is not having what you want, but wanting what you have.xx

Iona (now a full 7 and a very very important half) was on You tube with the OH the other night and they watched a video that morphed Michael Jackson from his Jackson 5 days to his present state of "plasticness" going through all the major changes. Iona totally freaked and started crying - ahe couldn't understand why anybody would turn themselves into a monster - her words, not mine.

Coulrophobia - just the word I was looking for! I hated clowns as a kid then Stephen King's 'It' really did it for me - I'll have nightmares tonight!

That stroke ad frightens me too, I switch channels as soon as I see it. Its a good job it wasn't around some years ago when a friend-with-a-problem-with-drink turned up to meet us to go to the pub, she was so drunk when we met her that her symptoms were very similar.. after watching that ad I'd be tempted to dial 999 nowadays. That might have taught her a lesson me thinks.

Glad its not just me! Did like clowns when I was a wee nipper, but after reading IT as a teen just did my head in, can't stand them now.
Jacko scares me lots. Its such a shame that he has felt the need to do all that to himself. The 'Thriller' era was by far the best, big fan of the stuff he did before the weirdness took over
