Domino hung gamely onto my hand with his teeth for moral support when I took him to be chipped to the extent that I felt faint and had to sit down with my head between my legs.

Next morning my hand was bright red and had expanded so that it looked like a marigold glove that you've blown into. A course of anti-b's for me, then!
