They need your password and eBay trading name to verify who you are when listing on eBay or when editing a listing I presume. You can list multiple piccies for free because they appear to list them as a single photo.
Style templates are brilliant and completely free
Just wanted to say a BIG thank you for your advice, Auctiva has made it really easy for me. Managed to import my previous listing on ebay to them and now I am up and running......its brilliant, so thank you again

I used Ebay a lot when I was in UK. Here in France it is a whole different bucket of fish though!

I need a sewing machine, I have one in storage and don't know when I will see it again, so thought I would look on Ebay. Two almost identical singer hand powered machines one with a start of 10Euros and the other starting at 200Euros.... They just don't get it here!

Mr T needed some new headlights to get the car registered here last year. One seller had a dodgy rating, the comments were that the buyer bid and won but the seller wouldn't let him have the item, The seller decided that the bid wasn't high enough and so wouldn't sell. Here sellers charge an extra fee if you pay by paypal, to cover the fees. One chap we tried to buy headlights from never cashed the cheque or sent the goods but we will have to pay a fee to the bank to cancel the cheque!?!

C'est la vie, I don't use Ebay here!!!

i used to use ebay but the charges made it unprofitable for me i now use ebid which is a little slow sometimes but you can list for free and for as long as it is for sale i have had 1 thing on there for 2 months and it has not cost a bean this will catch on soone as ebay has got to gready via there charges and also has the profits from paypal aswell which you have now only to use

I've also just had the message from Auctiva saying they're starting to charge. For our level they were quoting a monthly charge of US$5.95 which I'd happily pay but they also want 1% of each transaction - no way. that means we'll be paying ebay, paypal and then auctiva. Three bites out of each sale. I can see them all killing each other off. We do it to earn extra holiday money, we've just paid for two weeks in Dahab for four of us, so it has its upside. We have found that since they started messing things around sales have been more difficult as well.

......about similar things to Auctiva on the eBay community boards. The folk on there are always ready to pass on a head's up about anything money saving.

I wonder how long it will be before HMRC cottons on and starts sening out demands to those with big ratings?

If you have an Apple Mac use Garage Sale - great templates and all linked to Ebay. I used to sell a lot on Ebay (800 feedbacks 100% positive), mainly guitars but costs are too high now, still buy though, mainly old garden tools.
