So the allotment holders ideal "tool" must be a can of liquid nitrogen. Use that to water the plants - you kill off the slugs and freeze dry the crops at the same time! Genius!

I love it too! It's been lovely here for the last few days, very very cold at times, and the roads are dangerous where they melt then freeze again. But the sun's been out, and I've had the urge to dig my last veg bed. If only I could get a fork in the ground!Originally posted by Mikeywills View PostI thought I'd just big up the cold that we are having at the moment...

I had a new pair of shoes on while visiting a customer today, in the Welsh valleys. I got out of the car at number 3, and slid to the lamppost at number 1!!! If I wasn't trying to look all intelligent like, I'd have had another from a bit further up, mini coopering.
I'm only here cos I got on the wrong bus.

We measured the ice on a butt in the garden centre at the weekend, it was 3inches! The ponds are all frozen over, I have a block of ice where my water trough should be (we have to add fresh every day, now, after 4 inches it's impossible to smash without a pneumatic drill!).Originally posted by lottie dolly View Postthe ice is an inch thick on our water buts
Getting BORED of the cold if nothing else (and I'm going to kill that Italian...).
