With all the different foods left over from Xmas I'm trying different foods out on the chooks ( please someone tell me if they would actually eat something they shouldn't???
)
A huge bag of tablet eventually got the better of me , and I couldn't give it away ( too sweet) ...so chooks LOVED it ( thank goodness they don't have teeth
)
Stilton rind went the same way yesterday..yum yum
I know to be careful not to give too much variety in case they get the 'plops'....but it's interesting to see what they will eat .
( I know not to give raw potato nor lots of bread)
Have you tried them with something different?

....my mum gave me a huge bag of left over christmas bits including stuffing,batters,fried bread & pigs in blankets....I fished out the meat & gave them everything else....chooks running around with batter puddings on their beaks is almost up there with the cherry toms for entertainment value!!
....... mine have picked the turkey leg bones clean, like little vultures, they eat meat cos they need the protein for the inside of the eggs...... processed crap probably isn't too great,
