a lot better, but too scared to poke it unless i have a relapse

so far so good, starting to really feel like a non-smoker now

Auntie Mo, that is a sh*tty sh*t thing to happen Have you tried ringing the inland revenue? I'm almost certain that you can arrange to pay in bits if paying a lump sum will cause you hardship. And if they're going to spring the same thing on you next year, you could be paying towards that too... I'd definitely ring them and check, before skinting yourself...

Nearly had a set back went to collect son from Golf and the other parent offered me a cig, in 2 minds but said no, then thinking why i have i just said that, went home and had a carrot..............not the same as a cig but took my mind off it.,

Just dropped in to see how you're all getting on - and I'm dead impressed! You're stars, I don't think I could do it - I just thank my lucky stars that I never became addicted to the odd ciggie I had now and then. Go, go, all of you.

Anyway, so far I've NOT SMOKED around 300 ciggies, and I've NOT SPENT around �67.50 on fags Wow!!! where on earth did I ever get the money from? and more to the point, where is it now? Well I've got about �30 in my purse which last month would have been unheard of 3 or 4 days after going to the cash-point, and still not touched my "rainy-day money" (which Mr Tax-man will get at the end of January). Think I might be able to just about afford a few more tatties at Ryton when I go

Sadly I fell off the 'waggon' which is why I haven't posted on this thread recently. OH opened a bottle of Port to have with Cheese and Biccies on Friday evening, and I just had to have a glass. I also had a glass of wine with dinner on Saturday and Sunday, so it would appear I have no staying power.

I'm not having my usual G&Ts in the evenings, and with the reduction in consumption, I think I've saved us about �25 so far, so that's got to be better.

On a more positive note, OH and me were discussing his smoking at the weekend, because I mentioned this thread, and he's going to 'think about it' which is a start.

Saving �25 is absolutely fantastic!!! don't you dare beat yourself up about "falling off the wagon", you've done really well considering your OH isn't really doing much to support you. I'm not saying he should have given up too, but at least be a little discreet about having a drink. Just carry on doing your best xxxxx

Hi guys and gals, sorry i missed the thread yesterday, but i was a bit busy.

well done everyone, including Glutton4 , t'is hard when the person you are with is not helping support you, so don't feel so bad.

I am still clean, and hardly having to use the inhilator at all now, just in the evenings when i get a bit bored or am reading ( my real danger time).
how is everyone else feeling, are the pangs dying off now?

Occasional OH is down, i am nowhere near sober, the bookcase will get built despite the differences of opinion on the measurements

and i am still not smoking

and yes, its cool this has dropped off the front page, not quite sure what that signifies for some, but i am hoping it means that we are all still doing so well that we don't need to be checking in with our support system every five minutes.
