keep it up, tonight wil be tough, but, i have to say this one hour at a time thing is really working, 12:30 to 13:30 sucked big time

well i have cos a shot on the hour every hour does have an effect eventually

There's a half bottle of Red wine in the kitchen with the cork back in. Bl**dy thing's shoutin' at me LOUD, and I never drink this early in the day.

I know I should pack in but dont want to yet........i must smoke 3 or 4 in a day, sometimes I dont smoke at all!!! I have made resolutions in the past about giving up but decided against it as I always failed...........I enjoy a smoke up at the lottie with a brew after doing some work......or having a natter with friends who do smoke......yes it stinks and I know it stinks but these days I dont have many pleasures in life....yes it can kill but so can walking down the road and a car careering out of control can run you down.....

GOOD LUCK to those who are making an effort, it is going to be difficult but there are people on here who will support you............

If you can do 1 week you can do 2 weeks .

roughly 1 pack of fags = �5 so if you smoke 20 / day -
Thats �35 / week .

�1680 / year.

What are you saving for?
new car? greenhouse? holiday abroad?

Make plans ,go look for what you want set yourself a goal .

15 hours left? i gave up at midnight
maureen gave up even earlier than that, remind me, they are only 24 hours in a day? OH 15 hours in? , my mistake, am more drunk than i supposed, erm a greenhouse would be nice, or a laptop, new jumper?

sadly although my savings will be significant they will be way less, i only spend �5.50 a week on cigs

my chest however will be singing instead of whistling so thats a bonus

I've reached my first 24 hours but as I've got Mum-flu and been slobbed out half asleep most of the day, I think it wasn't too difficult for me. Now if I'd been feeling well, there was a point during the day when I'd have sneaked off to the shop "just for 10" so maybe is was my fairy godmother who gave me the poorly bug to stop me. If it was, can she please b*****r off tomorrow cos I don't like feeling like this! I want to sow some seeds and stuff and I promise not to sneak off and buy any

well feel for me darlin, cos i have reached the point where its me .....against....me
i am and i am not ashamed to admit it, desperate for a smoke, my guts hurt, and i have slightly shakey protuberances.....combine that with a will of iron and you can see i may well implode/explode at any second... i do know however cos i have done it before that 72 hours and the nicotine addiction is beaten, if not gone, so..........still hanging in even if it ruins the best pork loin i have ever cooked

EDIT : i know its bad cos i cant even concentrate on Vin Diesel

I have stopped before & started again after some months more than once the trick is when the urge takes you find something to do that prevents you from smoking.
