Good morning.

I must make an effort and go out today. I've just realised that the furthest I've been since Monday is out to the rubbish bin. I have had a bad week this week, but I don't want to turn into a hermit.

So a bit of make up and clean clothes on soon.

I did hear the end of the Paul McKenna video last night and ended up scrabbling round in the dark to turn my phone off when some annoying adverts came on, but I think I more or less fell straight to sleep then.

Afternoon n’alln’all

The scan yesterday went ok thanks…I’m still here
Waiting to hear when the next one will be….glad to be under their eagle eyes tbh!

I actually ended up with no bruise in my arm!…must be a first..te he.

I also managed to walk around a supermarket just pushing/ leaning on the trolly…no crutches!…yippee - for almost an hour.
I’m certainly on the mend for sure!…

A quiet day today as it now looks like rain, but we’re planning a short trip out in the camper at the end of the month, so I can at least research around the area to see what is worth visiting.

All good here..our guests leave tomorrow and that’s it until August…but we do need to clean it up ready for family arriving next month.

Afternoon all. Special hello to GF. When my mum was feeling low, she used to take herself off to Sainsbury's and have fish and chips in their caff. Difficult times. Sending you lots of love and hugs.

Good news about the scan, Nicos. And the shopping trip. Sounds like you are properly on the mend at last.

As for here, great morning, great lunch and I feel a great nap is about to start. I love not working!

Well….it suddenly got hot outside ( 26°) so I ended up sitting down on the driveway again…this time in the shade, doing a bit more weeding.
Managed to pull and fill a large old shopping bag filled with baby nettles, thistles, dandelions and a few other small grass like weeds - which pulled up nicely with the soil under the gravel still being sopping wet.
I did however leave clumps of comfrey and evening primrose to grow in areas we don’t drive over.
Still plenty to do …but I really enjoyed myself and chatted to a few people who walked by.

Good evening all, just spent an hour and a half talking to my English sister( as I call h er) as she lives in London, really knocked the middle out of the afternoon.
After weeding and making space I planted out all the plants I bought yesterday.

Bren, your hair looks lovely.

Nicos, good to hear your up and walking without your crutches.

Snoop, isn't it lovely when you don't need to work,

GF, I am sure you'll feel a bit of a lift after your outing.

My hair feels much better now it’s cut it seemed to have grown quick this time.

A mix of sun and misty rain for the day. Like Nicos posted it warmer now than it’s been all day. Very odd.

Good evening.

I've put my best foot forward. I now have two large banana loaves in the kitchen, (1½ times original recipe). The smell, when they were cooking, was wonderful and at least the bananas didn't go to waste.

Nicos, it's good to hear that you managed to get around the supermarket. Onwards and upwards! Don't try and rush things too much, too soon. Weeding and chatting is a good combination, particularly while sitting down. I was once sitting weeding next to a communal path on our allotment, and I could hear a group of young schoolchildren, maybe 5 years old, being given a guided tour. One precocious little boy was slightly ahead and when he spotted me happily weeding he suddenly yelled, "Miss, Miss, there's a real live one here." I'd never felt like a specimen under a microscope before.

I did go out and it was quite warm. According to my car it was 20°C. It feels a bit chilly now but I really don't want to put the heating on because the dry heat from the radiator below the windowsill won't do my tomato plants a lot of good (past experience). If it drops any cooler maybe I'll use the heated throw later.
