Jack thinks I got up early for one of our extended walks, but is disappointed I'm sitting at my desk, drinking a cup of tea. Little does he know that when I've finished my tea, it I'll be out watering fruit trees before coming back for a spit and polish before going off to the doctor's. No blood letting today, thank goodness. Just the results. Mind you, I've still got the bruise from last Monday.

After that, some tidying in readiness for visitors arriving this afternoon. Honestly, everywhere is a mess...

Mornin n’alln’all

Today is music festival in the village which goes on until midnight
OH is involved with collecting things on loan in his trailer - along with a few others, and setting up a stage and food tents…then helping with mussels and fries this evening.

I’ll probably pop along later but a neither use or ornament for helping out. I normally offer to do the washing up as by that time all the helpers are ready to drop.

Apart from that, I need to plant on some mint which has rooted in jars of water on the kitchen windowsill. Then just gentle pottering.

I’ve just made a brew if anyone is interested?

Good luck at the Drs Snoop…not good though that you are still bruised. There’s one guy at the labs who my stomach sinks with when he calls out my name. The other 4 are fine…but I always bruise badly with him despite reminding him how badly I bruise
The only other way I have found to reduce the size is to press hard over the plaster for about 10 minutes afterwards….doesn't always prevent it but it does usually help.

Te he …I’ll be following my own advice on Thursday when I have my MRI with contrast.

Ah, a fresh cuppa would be lovely, thanks, Nicos.

Cool again this morning, well below average, I think. Still, better than drowning or roasting.

I need to pop to the GC for some more mealworms. The blackbird in the clematis likes them, and now there is also another pair coming who are taking them to feed babies somewhere. I'll have a mosey round the plants, but just looking.

I must have gone to sleep earlier last night/this morning as it was still dark. Mind you I didn't even go to bed until after 2am. I didn't want to just lie there for hours .... again.

I'm booked in for blood tests at the doctor's surgery next week. The nurses/phlebotomists there are generally much better than the ones at the hospital, and you can even request which one you'd prefer if you book in advance. I always drink a large glass of water half an hour before my appointment and make sure that my arm is warm.

Florence Fennel, I hope that your tomatoes arrive in good condition. I'm sure that they'll love sharing the bottom of your garden with the fairies.

Nicos, we lived on boats for a few years. Firstly a 10 metre modern fibreglass sloop. Then a 15 metre, 50 year old (at the time) converted wooden ex lighthouse supply ship that needed renovating. We must have been mad!! She was a monster. Eventually a Norwegian saw her, fell in love with her, just like we had, and sailed her up to Norway. He used her as a charter boat around the fjords until an oil tanker ran into him!

Evening all,what a nice afternoon again,got in the garden till about 10 to 7 pm,empting and weeding the collapsed net tunnel,all the stuff that was chucked in it,now almost organized in another area,then the metal frame needs taking down,no 2 son offered the other week,but was not convenient then,no where to relocate the things,it will give me more growing space,and as it is mostly covered ,it hopefully will be able to put some brassicas in,and mackle some net cages up for butterfly interferance,still got no cue's,and both runner and french beans are struggling to get started,i personally can live without the cue's,but it is nice to give some away and make people smile,i am pleased to hear you had a better sleep GF,and Flo your hair looks great,good luck in the scanner Nicos,and snoop with the blood test results,we have booked in to see a dentist on thursday,not looking forwards to it,i know i need some out,the last one i went to 3 years ago,was horrible,and dread going,i have not had very good experiences with dentists,saying they ok,when nothing fitts,even paying private,so i am going to ask for the sleep option,as there is not much tooth to grab to pull out on one that the other dentist broke it off and left the root in,and sent me away with dentures over the top,and as the gum shrank,the tooth was more exposed and bloomin hurt,so i could not wear them,i would sooner put up with a bad bout off traped nerves and the siatic nerve,LD shudders,good night everyone sweet dreams

Ouchy ouch lottie!…I think I’d be asking for a general too…both my wisdom teeth were taken out under general, but not had the need since.! Do dentists need anaesthetists to do that or can they administer them themselves?

I've tried reading and watching TV. I can't concentrate on either but neither can I drop to sleep. I keep hearing what I presume is the police helicopter nearby. Looking for somebody?

I'm now trying to decide if there's anything I fancy in the fridge.....
