    • Morning all.

I woke up to the sound of Jack chewing Mr Snoop's massage oil dispenser. Ridiculously overpriced - I bought it from the chemist's, recommended for pressure sores but no good for that purpose according to the GP - but I'd consoled myself thinking that the container could be reused once the oil inside had finished. Not any more it can't...

Just been giving Mr Snoop a run-down of my day ahead. Shouldn't be too bad. Might have to add a Jean de Florette water run, though. And that would rather throw me out. Fingers crossed it can wait till tomorrow.

Right, I'd better get on with the day. Jack is chivvying me to get up and out on a walk.

Hope the appointment goes OK, CG.

      Have a great day, everyone.

      • Morning

Bit late for a brew from Nicos so I've made my own along with toast and peanut butter. Plenty left for us late comers.

A bit of shopping this morning, pharmacy and dropping stuff of at the charity shop.

        Enjoy your day

        • Good morning all.

I was another insomniac last night. I was awake from about 3am until 5am, and then again at 7am.

Snoop Puss, I hope you got a prescription for something more suitable for pressure sores from the doctor. The district nurse prescribed a spray for Mr GF that worked like magic, compared to the cream that the doctor had been prescribing.

My shopping is due this morning and they've got everything.

I think that one of the few things I like about the colder months is the smell of warming comfort food like stew. We don't get the smell of bonfires like we used to here, I always associated that with Autumn. I know it's safer now but I used to love helping build a bonfire for Guy Fawkes night and make a "guy". My young niece, nine or ten at the time once made me a scarecrow for my allotment. To my surprise it arrived dressed in something resembling a wedding dress.

I'm going to wake Mr GF up now, and get him and his breakfast organised.

          • Walk was lovely this morning , had my gloves back on again. Still blackberries around which the dog keeps munching on.

The nurses used manuka honey dressings for my dad's pressure sores.

Had my porridge this morning with some of my spiced plums I made yesterday with yoghurt.

                • After indoor chores ive been outside though it's quite cloudy now. Managed to get some things done AND the tomato plants that popped up in my veg bed (presumably from the compost bin contents) have little tomatoes whether they get bigger or ripen is another matter.
Also came across 2 more verbena bonariensis in the bed which I don't have the plant of. Off to pot them up......

                    • Good afternoon, cold and starting to rain here, have been a bit busy the past couple of days, had to make space in the garage for a freezer, we bought a new one for the kitchen and putting the old one into the garage, and the one in the garage is going to my son, that one is a small chest freezer, but still a bit large for us, then Monday morning OH and myself went out to a GC, OH said she needed to get out , but today she is quite sore again,I will be glad when this sciatica clears up, anyway drive home from GC, got a phone call from son asking if I could go to his house as there was a problem getting a new freezer that he had just bought in the house, he had a large American style fridgefreezer that needed to be replaced, unfortunately he had fitted new doors to his how and the delivery men couldn't get the old one out nor the new one in, so had a look at things and decided that the best option was getting it though a set of French windows in their dinning room and remove the door frame into the kitchen, easier than dismantling the outside door, so the delivery men got the new one in and son and I eventually got the old one out and the new one in place, but unfortunately I finished up absolutely shattered, even had an early night, in bed for half eliven last night. GF its the marriage licence I was referring to, and when I got married it was 7/6d, my FiL paid it and said he didnt want the money when I offered it to him, I now understand why, but still dont understand why its not an annual renewal requirement anyway enjoy your day and ree to pass on your smilezw
it may be a struggle to reach the top, but once your over the hill your problems start.

                              • Mornin n’alln’all

A brew would go down really well please CG! Perfect timing - thanks!

I love that verbena ..so much so, earlier this year I bought a plant for the new patio border..and it’s thrived. I’d be more than chuffed if it spread…how exciting!

Not quite sure what we’re up to today- we did have other plans but they were cancelled last minute so we unexpectedly have a day free . I should check the forecast as there’s quite a lot I’d like to do outside…like cutting off of dead/ overgrown tree branches and cutting them up or shredding them . I’m really fancying doing a bit of shredding- Tis one of my favourite garden toys!

Yesterday I made 9 large jars of apple chilli jelly…4 ‘normal’ …5 extra hot…and one of those is for a friend who has an asbestos mouth
                                with added Carolina Reaper

Nice find Bren…I pulled a couple of my old favourites out of the attic room the other day. It would be nice to get a couple of new ones sometime though. …hmmm….you’ve got me thinking now…. Apart from online there’s nowhere here I can go to find either new - or old.

So..what’s everyone else up to today?
Whatever it is, enjoy yourselves, and do share those lovely smiles…you never know who might be in need of seeing them x
