Sorry GF that should be 1.5lbs. of blackcurrants I want to try making some jam with them but everything I have looked at is metric and my scales are in imperial , and yes they are old but still working, reminds me of someone just cant put a name to the person

Rary I use imperial scales mine are Avery ones with a pan one side and weights on the other. I'm another who uses equal sugar to fruit when making jam. Let us know how you get on..

Guess who is a very happy bunny tonight!
Hibou’s visit went really well…the medication is doing the trick!
Heart size much reduced, pumping more efficiently and no major concerns with it as it is. See for another scan just before Xmas…or sooner if we notice she’s deteriorating.
Thank you all for your good wishes… they certainly dud the trick!
No change in medication but he suggested putting them in the fridge so they dissolve less quickly in the mouth.
Alternative to the frothy blood thinners is also Asprin every 3 days which would be much easier but not as effective apparently, so that would be our final back up plan just over our holiday away.

I wonder if coating the pill in a bit of butter might help it slip down more readily as well.

Glorious day here yesterday but back to grey and overcast now, even a chance of rain. Think I will sow some seeds and carry on with my stool, I've sanded down and am re varnishing one, needs a new seat cover too. Suppose I could do some ironing

I've got a tea already, CG, but I'll take a crumpet if I may.

It was distinctly chilly last night so the day has started off feeling cool, almost feels like September. A little bit of rain forecast for this afternoon but it might even dry up in mid-air as temperatures are due to rise after yesterday's respite.

More of the same for today for me. But first off, make some flapjacks for gifts. I've never seen flapjacks sold here, so how they'll be received I don't know. But they're quick and easy and I've got all the ingredients. Fingers crossed they don't turn out to be teeth-breakingly hard.

Good morning all.

Everything is wet here, but the rain has stopped now and we've just got thick cloud. Yesterday's thunderstorms never materialised, not even any rain until after nightfall.

I'm due an online grory hop delivery between 10am and 11am. Even the milk is down to low levels (for me). A mere bottle and a half, six pints, in the fridge.

I made my banana loaves yesterday so today or tomorrow I'll take one for my brother in law and one for a friend. They always taste better a couple of days after they are made, when they start to go a bit sticky.

I could have done with the human equivalent of the pill pockets for Mr GF's massive antibiotics last week. Thank goodness he has now finished the course.

Ah, I can hear reversing beepers. I think my delivery is here.
