  • LD, you are in my thoughts and prayers, hope everything is ok with you, get yourself out to the garden which hopefully will get you settled

Good afternoon, occasional heavy rain accompanied by a cold wind though if you can get out the wind when the sun is out it feels nice, I'm sitting here thinking on how I can easy accew for my veg bed with the poly tunnel, as its only 6x4 I think I could remove the centre section and make a removable door which would allow me to get access to the complete bed, now need to work out how to keep the hoop shape , I could use r-bar and bend it to required shape
Sorry about rambling there just working out how I could do this, and I'm sure I can work this out, anyway while the rain is off I will get back out to the garden so have a good day and find something to make you smile
it may be a struggle to reach the top, but once your over the hill your problems start.

    • Do keep us updated on those plans Rary…some of us might just pinch your ideas ( royalties paid of course!)

Today I’ve hardly got anything practical done.
Spent flippin hours on the iPad sorting things out and researching things. Good job it has been raining most of the time…and least when the sun shines I will be able to escape outside and ‘play’

        • LD my mum was referred within 2 weeks for a consultation first, he then referred her for a colonscopy .
When the gp referred she got appt week later then another 2weeks after that for colonoscopy. One appt was a phonecall to her and one I made via the NHS app as requested.

                • Good evening all.

Lottie, try not to worry too much, although I know, of course, you will. I really hope all is well.

I've had a nice day today with a few unexpected deliveries .....early birthday presents.

One present, though, was a M & S letterbox afternoon tea. It in no way resembles a proper afternoon tea and, really, in my humble opinion, is boringly awful. I would never say this to the person who paid, quite probably, an exorbitant amount of money for it, but it is terrible. So far, we have tried a piece of Victoria sponge and a piece of carrot cake. Mr GF, he of the sweet tooth, wouldn't even finish either. I think maybe I've been spoiling him too much.

                  • It’s this Sunday isn’t it GF?…I better get some fizz in the fridge ready!

…speaking of which we need to remember to put the clocks forward on your birthday morning!

I've got "fizz" in my fridge and in the cupboard. I'm really not a fan, and never have been, of champagne, cava, prosecco, etc. I am a red wine lover however. I have already got some of that as a present.

As for the clocks, it is worth losing a hour as at least dawn will not break at quite such an uncivilised hour for a while and we'll get lighter evenings instead.

Did someone say cake and fizz

It's a bit grey here, next week looks nice though.
Not sure what today's plans are yet.
                        Cuppa anyone?

Ta muchly for the cuppa CG…much appreciated!

Frosty start to the day…glad I remembered to bring the seedlings in

Grory hop at some point…I’ve been putting it off all week

Apart from that, probably a few domestics as we have good weather forecast for the rest of the week so might be a good idea to be on top of them

What's everyone up to this weekend….apart from helping gf celebrate her birthday! ( Do you have a favourite red wine gf?)
                          whatever it is…enjoy yourselves

Nothing planned this weekend Nicos but something usually pops up and the weather looks like being good today.

I'm not a fan of fizzy wine either my favourite wine is a red preferably a Merlot.

                            Enjoy your day

I noticed in Lidl yesterday they had their Spanish selection in again, i got some sardine pate and have had a bit of a continental breakfast this morning with some lovely cheese and ham too.
                              Anyone for another brew?

                              • Good Morning All Sunny here. We had champagne last night (I don't like it, I think it tastes like cider) and prosecco (which I like if it's very dry). I don't drink wine any more, I prefer G and T, but it was a special occasion. Have a good day
