We have annual blood tests here to anticipate when things are going wrong to help prevent/ damage limitation of ill health where possible.
OH went for his blood and wee tests this morning ( gets all results by 4pm today) and apparently he dropped his sample bottle into the loo.Said he felt like a 5 year old having to apologise and asking for another sterile one having fished out the first one!!
.Boys eh?....thank goodness they never quite grow up ! Bet that will be talked about today at the lab

OK...so time for a brew...and in case anyone forgets to say it....

Just got back from the lotty, not just frost this morning but iced puddles too. Looked out at 04.30 and it was just wet, an hour later iced up. Glad I covered the spud leaves yesterday

Another white frost morning . Minus 3 in the greenhouse.
Just checked our forecast , overnight is showing 50% chance of light snow .
Working this morning, showers this afternoon so may not be a garden day again.

Morning all.
Crystal clear blue sky now, and the wind has gone. Hope my seedlings stood up to no protection last night . The tithonia are least hardy of all the flowers, and fortunately I still have the toms and squash indoors

And there was me thinking a low of +3 ºC was still a bit chilly... Ordinarily, I'd be thinking of putting out my tomatoes end of April in warmer conditions than these. Weirdly, the mozzies are already out and about. Fingers crossed for warmer temperatures for you guys.

Anyway, busy day today. Loads of work but keen to get some more gardening done. Have agreed to have a look at the tomato bed today with Mr Snoop in readiness for actual action tomorrow. Not sure how we're going to get the uprights into the ground if I'm going no dig. It's pretty hard, despite the recent rain. Definitely going to get some brassicas and lettuce in the ground.

The smiles had a bit of a lie-in this morning, so they're raring to go now. Grab some while the going's good.

Morning, been awol for a bit so have a lot of catching up to do. Hope you are all well. It’s a lovely sunny morning here but chilly! There was snow on the hills yesterday...someone remind the weather that it’s May!
