Having got 2 1/2 doggies and a veteran 18 yr old cat who howls at me to feed him and I obey to shut him up - yep sounds about right

I did the test, came out slightly more dog than cat, which I expected. The 'diary' thing only applies to 'totally indoor' cats. I wouldn't keep a cat which coudn't be let out, unless it was one which mustn't be allowed to have contact with other cats for health reasons.

I wish my neighbour kept her cats indoors more - I'm forever cleaning up after them and repairing the damage her cats do in my garden.
I'm not anti-cat and I'd never hurt one but too many of them on modern estates are a bl**dy nuisance.
They should be subject to the same controls as dogs I feel.
My Version
Dog:
1-Make a mess on the pavement but its ok cos my owner will ignore it!
2-I like walking about off my lead and annoying people.
3-i like sitting in my car and dropping my hair all over the place.
Cats:
1-I like digging up the garden and killing the plants.
2-I like laying around and not doing anything intresting.
3-I like killing animals and leaving them laying around because I'm to stupid to know how to eat them.
The greatness comes not when things go always good for you,but the greatness comes when you are really tested, when you take, some knocks, some disappointments;because only if youv'e been in the deepest valley can you ever know how magnificent it is to be on the highest mountain.
The test says I am 70% cat : "You and cats have a lot in common. You're both smart and in charge - with a good amount of attitude. However, you do have a very playful side that occasionally comes out!"
How true!

Just my 2p worth
It isn't practical to have the same controls on cats as on dogs, any more than it is practical to have the same controls on children as on dogs. There is a case for MORE control, but the immediate result of changing the rules would be a lot more cats left to their own devices.
I know some folk dislike micro-chipping because they can see possible health problems, but it may well be the lesser of available evils to require all dogs and cats to be microchipped, and any (other than babies) found out of doors without would then at risk of being taken to a rehoming place, and if no home can be found, they may be put down.
I would like to see neutering (and microchipping) before rehoming compulsory as well. There are too many unwanted dogs and cats (in the case of cats, a lot of them are 'half-wanted') and reducing the number of accidentally bred puppies and kittens has a lot going for it.

Hmmm
1. My doggies wouldn't dream of messing on a pavement, too below them and they don't get to see pavements much anyway, it's taken them long enough to lower themselves to go at all outside our orchard but it has to be in a field away from crowds at a country show and then mummy or daddy hides it for them in a little plastic bag saving them the indignity of owning up to it
2. My doggies only go off the lead in the fields behind our house, and if there is anyone else on those fields apart from my friend then I will report them for trespassing and my doggies have every right to harrass them
3. What's wrong with my doggies sitting in their car it is their car after all
Cats
1. Alf doesn't dig up plants they get in the way when he does his stuff
2. Alf doesn't call it laying around doing nothing, it's called sun bathing, gotta keep up the tan. If the sun's not out he's laying around in the barn but not doing nothing he calls it mouse and rat watching
3. Alf says we always eat mice and as much as we can of rabbits but we don't eat rats 'cause they are not good for you and the same goes for moles. If you want a place full of moles and rats then keep out the cats, and as for not being happy about cats not eating the mice then you're feeding your cat too much
