Our new grand-daughter was refered to as Sprout all through her gestation -even though the scan showed she was a girl and she had an actual name. That's because her older sister (aged 3) was asked what name she'd like her sister to have. After some consideration, she said 'Sprout-run' ?!

When I was at work, a colleague wss having her first baby. Each time she went for a check-up she came back to tell us what size the baby was - and it was always a piece of fruit! "This month it's the size of a peach!! This month it's the size of a grapefruit." There must be a book out there - "Your Child as Fruit".
