How did bread suddenly become £1.35 a loaf and what on earth has happened to petrol? am I alone in noticing ?- my wages havn't gone up!

Everything is more expensive - mostly on the back of the fuel prices rising. Up here, deisel has hit £1.38 per litre and heating oil has doubled since February - now about 60p per litre.

Maybe for those with good health, but I had severely overdone it all weekend and now I am suffering the consequences - will I ever learn to take it steady? Back to pottering for me today or nothing further will be done all week!
