    Hi Shortie-

We took on a collie pup just before we were going on holiday, and we couldn't take him - so we went round to see the Council Animal Welfare man who was ver helpful and recommended someone who now walks our dog twice a week and also has him when we go on holiday. There are also many sites on the web advertising dog boarding at home (their home). I'm sure you'll find someone!

Actually, it gets better - the whole butterfly effect seems to be working here. If the breeder hd had him back, we would probably always be using kennels...

... Mr Shortie took Jasper for his first jabs today (we were dvised there was no guarentee it would work becuase it ws being done before 12 week, but might give him some cover and to keep him in isolation at teh kennels still). While there the vts recomended someone who pet sits in her own home so we gave her a call. A really lovely sounding lady, she works a few hours a day so they'll be getting far more company than in kennels, and really sounds like a naturally caring person - asked us to take their brush as well (I would ahve forgetten them!). If it works out, we'll have somewhere w can use at times when w can't take the dogs (like a hotel stay we have booked for a weekend in November.

Maybe it's a good thing she lt us down after all

A happy ending to the tale thankfully Shortie. The theory of what goes around comes around sort of applies doesnt it, you have had a far better result than if she hadn't broken her word. Glad its all sorted out for you.
