Went on a night out round the town with some friends last night and ended up helping a poor young lad from getting a real bad kicking, a man was really laying in to him, so I shouted stop and tried to pull him off the young lad, he was kicking him in the face & head, made me feel sick, the chap turned round and pushed me to the ground and kicked me in the face a few times, broken my nose & the left side of my face is so sore & swollen. I�m in so much pain all because I helped a poor lad from been kicked to death, no one help just stood round watching.
What the hell is this world coming too when you can�t enjoy a night out. The poor lad was out celebrating his 21st birthday and was well drunk, why the fight started I don�t know I didn�t see it start, but I did see the end, I ended up in A&E till 3am this morning.
I work at the hospital and hate to see anyone coming in with bad facial injuries, and the money they cost just through been stupid and wanting to fight.
I�m now left with facial pain, bruised and swelling round my mouth & nose, and a broken nose.

No the police came too late, just big crowds round me and the young chap, till police & ambulance came.
I just cant believe it happened, I’m in so much shock still, makes me feel sick thinking about what could have happened.

Yes the police are going to investigate and will be calling to see me at some time, I have to make a statement didn’t feel well last night to make one, just answered the few questions I could.

Pity there seems not to have been anyone keeping an eye on the cctv (I assume there was one). You can bet if someone had driven through a red light next to the happenings, there would have been coppers there in moments!

Get well soon Gardenplot! You certainly were brave and hopefully the police will take it as seriously as they should. I'd be surprised if they guy wasn't caught on CCTV though - there are cameras everywhere, especially around pubs and bars. Might be worth asking the council and local businesses to review their records, in case the police are 'too busy'.

Well done you gardenplot, so sorry you were so badly hurt in the incident. It's so nice to know there are still people like you willing to step in and not just walk on by and ignore something like this.

I hope you recover soon and that the police and the young lads family are sufficiently grateful and catch those responsible.

You should be justifiably proud of your actions and bravery.
