I really want to start canning now!

I'm trying to add more meat free dishes into our diet so tonight instead of making chicken enchiladas as usual, I made them with a chickpea filling and it was absolutely delicious, some were even looking for seconds.

I made a Satay sauce with peanut butter melted with hot water and soy sauce, and dunked cooked cauli, turnip slices and carrots in it. Although I say it myself, it was much tastier than the Cauliflower cheese that I was going to make (and vegan!)

We do it with re-fried beans. Yummy.

Cheesey pasta bake topped with bacon, cherry toms and sliced German pork sausage, green cabbage with wholegrain mustard on the side.

              Well, yesterday, actually.
Salsify fritters a la HFW. Quite good.
Peel, grate, sautee in butter. Add flour, egg, chilli, season shape and fry in more butter (I used olive oil) a bit heavy, but subtle flavour. Will do again!
