  • Golden Delicious apples for Cider ?!

    Hello everyone,

I was out walking over the weekend and spotted a couple of apple trees in the hedgerow with what looks to be be Golden Delicious apples on them. Just wondering if they can be used for cider? If they can do I need to add anything extra ... Tanning etc.

    Cheers in advance.

You can use any apples for cider although I find a mix is best. That said have made with whatever we can get hold of . You can add all sorts but there is no need and I like the natural approach, simply extract juice, bung in a demijohn and ferment

Some of us live in the past, always talking about back then. Some of us live in the future, always planning what we are going to do. And, then there are those, who neither look behind or ahead, but just enjoy the moment of right now.

Which one are you and is it how you want to be?
