        Sloe Port with the leftovers

I've got boxes of boozy sloes in the freezer, and I think I might make this "port" from Carl Legge

        makes 1 litre

500g sloes left over from your gin
        75cl red wine (any)
        100g sugar (ish)
        200ml brandy

Add the sloes, sugar and wine to a sterilised container. Seal and shake daily for 6-8 weeks, keeping it in a cool, dark place.
Taste and add sugar if you think necessary.
Drain the sloes off the liquid through a double layer of scalded muslin.
Add the brandy and mix well.
Pour into your clean presentation bottle.
