  • What age would you like to be again

Now I am 55 yrs I was thinking about my life and I cant think of any stages of my life I would like to be again.
In my primary years I lost my dad.
    In my teen's I married.
In my 20's I had my first son and more followed.
In my 30's I had my youngest son ( no 4 ) and divorced.
In my 40's I remarried and had my daughter, and my grandson was born
In my 50's I lost my sister.
Regrets ??? A few along the way but I am happy with my lot, would I have changed anything ??? Maybe.
When I was younger I couldnt wait to hit 20 and thought about how my life would be. Life never turns out how you imagined it would be.
    Be HAPPY dont Worry.

I'm happy with the age I am, some of the years I wouldn't like to live again, but if they hadn't then I wouldn't be the person and where I am today. I am very much of the opinon things happen for a reason.

I'm also happy to be where I am in life at this moment. It's easy to bemoan the fact of ageing and the things you can no longer do, but as Elsie said, it's the events of your life that make you who you are. If I had my forties back again - children almost off hand, lots of energy, very involved in the organic movement - I would not be the person I am now and would, almost certainly, make the same mistakes and endure the same griefs as I did then. No, I'll stick with 71 - until the end of the year when it will be 72!!!

I'd like to go back to my 30s, but only because I had more energy and more money!
In some ways I'd like to go back to my 20s and change a few decisions, but I guess we all would. Whether or not I'd do anything drastically different if I had my time again, I couldn't say. Probably not, unless I had better foresight next time round. I'm not saying I have many regrets though, life's for living after all. Funny old world innit LOL

I just read that back after I posted it - I didn't mean it to sound so depressing!!!!

Another one who is happy to be where I am now. I have had a wonderful life up to now, and all my experiences (good and bad) have made me what I am now. I can't say that I don't wish I had the energy that I had when I was in my 20's, and the lack of grey hair and wrinkles (although they ain't too bad yet ), but I feel so much more of a 'complete' person than I was then.

I have to confess to the odd panic about getting old, but then I'm sure most of us do if we're honest! And of course the older we get, the further back the age that defines 'old' becomes (it's well into the 80's now for me I think!). What I do know is that I am determined to make the most of every minute and live life to the full as much as possible, as you never know what's around the corner, and this isn't a dress rehersal. Look forward, not back

Life is brief and very fragile, do that which makes you happy.

Happy to be whatever age I am. Would hate to be back in my 20's as I knew nothing and was still finding myself. Throughout my 30's I've gained confidence and contentment and look forward to my 40's - coming to me in a few months

Some of us live in the past, always talking about back then. Some of us live in the future, always planning what we are going to do. And, then there are those, who neither look behind or ahead, but just enjoy the moment of right now.

Which one are you and is it how you want to be?

Very thought provoking!!. There are few ages of my life that for me were not good. During those years our darling kids were our life and prerogative
So in that scenario I would change nothing......I am here, they are here, how could I wish for anything more.

Many episodes I would love to re-visit, a few things I would do differently if I knew then what I know now, maybe wish I'd been a bit more adventurous, but generally happy to be where I am.

I would love to be about 25...but have the knowledge and experiences I have now - just not the grey hairs and wrinkles

I wanna be in my 30s again - shh at the back, no rude remarks - cos I had just started to gain my confidence and get good at what I was doing. Then I sort of wasted time so I need to change that bit!
Whooops - now what are the dogs getting up to?
