  • Well the new neighbours have moved in!

Some of you may remember me posting a thread that I was going to get new neighbours in the council house next door. Well they moved in yesterday! The 'wife' is 22 and went to school with my oldest daughter. She has two sons, Bradley and Marshall who must be about 1 and 2 years old plus a third one imminent! Extended family came round too driving a green van that at some point must have been a business van!!! Her dad looks like a long haired version of Rab C Nesbitt and has an alsation that is huge and just as hairy The mother is a little challenged in the attractiveness stakes and whistles through her tombstone teeth when she speaks! They have a white ford car with rear spoiler......nice
I am trying to make a huge effort to be neighbourly and welcoming but when I hear 'Marshall, get out of the f.....ing way' or 'Marshall, I told you not to f.....ing touch that' every few minutes, I'm not impressed.
I think maybe the Royale family have moved in next door.......goes to look for pills

I hope they settle in swiftly and quiet down too for you.

I am not looking forward to either: next door being sold (it has been for sale for a while) and us getting new neighbours or; having to move and settle in a whole new area

Think you best double up on the dose there Selfraising..... Was hoping that you would get nice neighbors! Still early days... fingers crossed that once she settles, things quieten down and improve.

If they don't quieten down, just turn up the stereo and sing silly songs while you are in the garden - you never know, you might manage to chase them away (or scare them so that they stay indoors quietly)

Think I could manage that Fi for one night but think I might be in it for a long stretch! Don't like that sort of language used towards young kids either, its just not necessary. Not saying i never swore at my children but they were a lot older and I still don't use those sort of swear words towards them even now.

If it gets too bad and its a council house you can complain to the council. If its private rented complain to the landlord. Dont put up with it. If its privatly owned not a lot you can do apart from pleading to their better nature if they have one.

You can still complain to the council if the house is owner occupied, the unsocial behaviour unit (or whatever it may be called in your area) cover owner occupied as well as rented

Hope they quieten down when they settle in a bit. Fingers crossed

I use a mix of six scoops of compost three scoops of sand/grit and two scoops of perlite, the quantity is unimportant as long as the ratio is the same, if for seeds I use this mix, if I am potting on I add some blood, fish and bone, along with a small quantity of chicken manure pellets
