btw, the foliage hadn't died back, and there were no flowers. But under the ground ... lots of lovely spuds, some large marbles, some hens-egg size, and a couple were hooj

                Mmmm!Look good Braders!
We started digging some of ours up before they were supposedly ready...the way I see it is,if there's enough for a meal & it saves buying them, they're ready!
The look on one of the old boys faces was a picture though when he saw what one plant, only just in flower, had to offer!

I really, really enjoy digging them up. More so than actually eating them ... I think I will have to dig some and bury them again, because we two can't eat that many.

We're on our 5th meal from our Kestrels.....photo attached.

Nothing dug yet - just furtled around the mound, and pulled out the big ones, then covered the mound back up. Not even been near the ones that are under cardboard yet.

I've had some real biggies, yesterday's were just to add into a curry so I only took a few.

                        They are scrummy.

                          So jealous, they look scrummy!
I have been really good and have resisted having a look ( although I am itching to).
I don't know what variety mine are so no idea when to harvest
Starting to develop flowers though so hopefully soon

I know exactly what you mean (although I do love eating them too!) It's like finding buried treasure isn't it?
