Although I make my own chutneys, I've never got round to making my own jam. I've just tried some Bonne Maman Apricot Compote - its delish!

I have to say my very favourite is home made Tayberry Conserve. You crush the fruit and don't add any water. It's just thick preserved fruit and keeps its refreshing flavour.Whoever plants a garden believes in the future.

Call me boring, but I've never tasted any jam that comes close to Raspberry (with the seeds in). Especially my mum's homemade RJ, although she hasn't made any in years.Current Executive Board Members at Ollietopia Inc:

Ollie you are boring so you say now the jams Blackberry and apple is good but my mother used to make a wicked Gooseberry and Rhubarb that was very nice..

I've made a couple of blackberry and apple jellies this past autumn - one with sage and one with rosemary added at the cooking stage. The flavour is very subtle but nice. Of course, you can use them with meat or cheese but they are also brilliant on toast like a jam (guess how I know!)Originally posted by dexterdoglancashire View Post
