  • Dirty Hands

    Hi all.

I seem to get very dirty hands even when wearing gloves.

Can anyone help with some advice in what to wash them with.

    Thanks
    Natisha

Give them a good go with a mix of olive oil and granulated sugar - really works on that ingrained dirt, then wash it all off with soap as usual, leaves them nice and soft too!

Or washing up liquid (Ecover is gentle) and sugar. Works a treat.

            Wash your hair!

My Dad was a builder. If he knew he was going to do a particularly dirty job, he would scrape his fingernails down the underside of a bar of soap, where it gets soft from being on the side of the sink, in the damp. That prevented his nails getting dirty, at least

Works for me, have even converted OH and boys to it when they come in all greasy after playing with bikes/cars.

Think it's also worth using handcream.I find the drier my skin the more cracks there are for the dirt to lurk!So embarrassing when you've baked someone a homemade gift & notice your grub stained hands as you hand it over!(you know they're clean but does the recipient!!?
