    Any Ideas For This Area?

    Hi Folks,

    Any ideas what I can sow now in the areas on the left? Would have to be in containers and doesn't get much sun.

    Most salad crops will grow happily in containers and being in the shade doesn't bother them either - in fact it would help slow down any thoughts they have about bolting.

      What about potato's in large pot's or grow bag's on there end's, if you don't want to grow veg why not try Hosta's they don't mind shade and they look lovely with there big leaves.

        Raspberry and thornless blackberries and rhubarb and gooseberry in the ground?

        Also use the fence as a vertical planter by hanging small pots from it.

        (You can get/make lightweight fabric containers to hang for things like lettuce.)

        Maybe you could build some staging to put tubs on?

        Perhaps paint the fence white to reflect more light???

          Hi Nicos,

          I have enough bits to build some staging and many flower buckets and orange buckets. Would it be to shady for courgettes?
