    Mini Green House for hardening off outdoor toms

    My 8x6 greenhouse is always overflowing later this month.

    So for £10 I bought

    Should allow me to off load main GH till weather warms up.

    Anyone got one ?

    How do you secure it so it doesn't do a Mary Poppins on me.

    I pick it up from the shop, probably Friday when the wife drags me to the pub.
    Hope it fits in a taxi !

    Depends on where you put it - free-standing, I'd knock a couple of poles into the ground first with a sledge and tie it to them. Against as wall - drill a couple of holes - plug and a screw in each, wire the lot to the screws.

      If not a Mary Poppins a Peter Pan....

      You might be better with Couple of Eyes into a Slab or even a rope under a Slab and Loop it over all the top shelf to stop the poles popping off.

        Thanks for the suggestions.
        After a bit of surfing I saw some one who put scaffolding planks through the bottom and put large rocks/slabs on the ends of them.
        Sounds a reasonable idea.

          I got one a few years ago to put in my cold greenhouse so I could sow seeds a bit earlier. Even if I put scaffolding planks (or even railway sleepers) on the bottom, the winds we get here would have it up and away in no time!
          I work very hard so please don't expect me to think as well!

            Mine is in the corner between 2 fences and is tied to the fence post with cable ties through slots in the cover. I also have 3 bricks on the bottom shelf.

              No tips as I haven't put mine up yet, but I got one last ask and it'll definitely fit in a taxi, it comes in pieces in a small-ish box. Not too big or heavy.

                Ive got a similar version and I cable tied the shelves to the frame to make it much more rigid. Mine isnt tied down in any way, and it’s only ever gone over once, and that’s because next doors lump of a cat jumped off the fence on to it.

                  Very impressed for £10.
                  Metal frame was easy to assemble.
                  Instructions might have said to use a bit of butter on the joints and a light tap with a mallet.
                  Also the internal ties and door tie are a bit short.
                  I tie wrapped the shelves to the frame.
                  I placed 2 kerbstones on the base to prevent Mary Poppins.
