As Mothawk noticed - I have been MIA for a year . I re-initiated myself with a low key comparethecompost.com post and was rumbled. I am still here in South Wales. Life kind of took over last year and despite doing my best to enjoy my gardening hobby I had to scale back my ambitions.

I have been gradually limbering up to previous levels of activity. I have been granted permission to encroach on more of the garden, I have decided (after 10yrs of wanting) that I will get hens this year. I have also possibly acquired GH #3. I am hoping to get my 6yr old more involved (but given he is mainly interested in destroying and flooding everything he will have his own mini plot).

I have been having a bit of a nose around the grapevine and happy to see familiar people here . So hello to all those who remember me and ello to all the new un's!

Thanks ALL for the kind words. I am sure I will settle back in just fine. It's nice to see you all still here and the new local faces! It is already feeling like I just sat down on a comfy armchair.

To say last year was an annus horribilis is an understatement. I haven't launched back in full throttle. Just doing what I can, when I can squeeze it in.

I was thinking I'd like to re-home 3 ex-bats to start. Though, being the cautious type, I will be scanning 'Rule the Roost' before I do anything. Plus, I need to build something to house them in and make the perimeter secure so they can free range.

Believe it or not I have not purchased any seeds (lie) and I haven't done any early sowings (lie). Ok, a few cheap packets and only a few chilli and tom - but I am behind.
