Spicy salad is on flower!

Hi my spicy salad which has done us several meals is now on flower. It looks really pretty, all yellow and purple, so I have moved it onto the patio as OH thought it was a lot of new plants I had bought lol.

Can I take seed from it? If so when is the best time to get the seed? never collected any before....

sorry Janeyo i dont have a clue, but didnt want to see your post with no messages, so wanted to say well done on the salad, mine will be ready to eat soon and i am so excited....

hope someone comes along soon with the correct answer
