  • A Question for you all

When i was at the lotty today I noticed that something had changed. It seemed to me that the earth had moved, seemed further away - had to bend further. Have any of you noticed this?

Certainly have! Someone on another thread suggested testing the soil by 'taking yer kecks off and sitting on it' - I'd never get back up!

Yes everything seems further away nowadays since I had to start wearing specs. My arms had become to short for reading!

Sure have Denise. That's why I'm growing in raised beds this year. 18" less to bend. If I can't get down to the earth it will have to come up and meet me.

Madderbat always says the trouble when bending is the ground is too far away.

You could always ask Mrs D for some yoga lessons, she would soon have you touching your toes

It's not the going down that's the problem, it's the getting back up again!

I can still touch my toes, but lately all my joints have been aching and my knees have given out. Doc is checking me out for thyroid after Easter, but I think its the statins they've had me on for the last two years.

Me too, had a busy day yesterday and now I ache all over. As for the eyesight, I know mine is bad and I have to wear glasses for reading etc, but space sowing small seed is now really difficult and I hate it. The joys of getting older !!!!!
