  • Only for those of us who wear glasses

Just wondered what other grapes do, those of us who wear glasses, what do you do that you really shouldnt without your glasses on?
I do it every now and then - I cut my own hair with the clippers - a quite risky experience really - I have to take my glasses off to cut my hair, but then of course, cant actually see what Im doing! I cut my hair on Saturday night before we went out, it took my longer than usual, fortunately, Drew came home in time to check my hair cut before we went out!
My hair is now as short as the lady who does the weather on BBC1 north west - but she's much prettier than me!
So go on, what do you do without your glasses on when you should really be wearing them?

I shave my legs and can't actually see that far, and last month ended up gouging a huge lump out of the back of my ankle which bled for ages and ages!

OUCH! I keep my glasses on for that, but they keep getting steamed up in the bath!

Being very short sighted, I can read without my specs - but now that is beginning to go! I read in bed with my right eye closed (weaker one). The optician has prescribed varifocals - but I still read in bed with my right eye closed!
Whooops - now what are the dogs getting up to?

My eyesight is quite good and I only really need my glasses for middle distance I have two pairs one pair of polarized sun glasses which I use all the time because I can't get on with the pair of bisexuals I have.
The river Trent is lovely, I know because I have walked on it for 18 years.

So if you wear the polarized glasses you don't have to look at the bisexuals:

I can't really see much close up without my glasses so mascara is a nightmare, I think it looks fine until I put my gigs on , but it really looks a bit like the photo below

I used to hate swimming - either had to go without my glasses or wear my contacts and risk getting splashed/losing them in the water so I used to take them out beforehand.

It was only in the last few days it dawned on me - 18 months after laser surgery - that I could swim again, and be able to see stuff.

                  Wicked!!!!!

[I once bought some new mascara and a fab kohl pencil so in my experimental mode I made one eye up to look like Alex in A Clockwork Orange. A few hours later I went out to get some food and couldn't work out why I was getting very strange looks. Until I got home and looked in the bathroom mirror. I had one really made up spider eye just like the one in the picture. Oops!]

Am properly Stevie Wonder sighted without my bins.
Wore lenses all the time in the army and most of the time away at work but eyes now reject them, and far far too blind for laser treatment sadly.
I just cant do anything without my glasses, as I cant see.

My glasses are the last thing I take off at night and the first thing I put on in a morning.

I only wear my glasses for reading in bed. I wear lenses the rest of the time - much to my opticians disproval.

I'd have laser surgery at the drop of a hat if I could afford it - but it's sooo spensiff.

Bean tries to take my glasses off when he sees them. He doesn't like me wearing them either.

Exactly my nightmare, even though when I apply mascara I use a magnifying mirror, it is still so difficult to do. I could do with a monacle so that I can see out of one eye, while making up the other!

I'm short sighted, but I have the lowest possible prescription, I might as well just have flat pieces of glass in front of my eyes.
I'm supposed to wear them for driving and watching the television/cinema. If I watch TV for more than an hour without them I start to get a headache, but like any man (generalising I know) I hate admiting I'm not perfect, so will never wear them if anyone else is around. In fact, I've never worn them for driving and I couldn't even tell you where they are at the moment!
