I've had the loveliest day basking in the glory of having been on the telly but the one thing that has struck me about the best thing to come out of our allotment site was only revealed when I watched the Beechgrove programme on BBc iplayer. We allow our local secondary school to have a plot without payment of rent. One teacher who looks after less able kids takes them along to the plot and they potter about having a whale of a time growing and learning. All that is great.

What is even better though is that two recent pupils who came to the plot have managed to get jobs gardening. Really well done to them amd well done to us for encouraging them.

Well done! Lovely to think that you and the Allotments have helped kids to get on the road.

Well done. The more kids who realise the pleasure of watching things grow and not expecting instant gratification (as is the norm now it seems) the better.
