green water in water butts

I have a garden pond with fish in John and the uv light in the filtration kills the algae, i clean the filtration units in a large bucket of pond water and use this on all my plants, flowers/veg whatever, algae is THE fertilizer , none better of course that is just my opinion but one i firmly believe .
