Its difficult to eradicate -I have lots of it too. I dig/pull/trample it wherever possible and hope to weaken it enough that it goes next door

If you think your other plants are flowers - put the photos on the Flower Mill thread.
If you can wait for the flowers to appear it will be much easier to identify them.

Thanks.. I'm in the UK though and that website is US.. My weeds don't all seem to be the common ones, well I know most of the really common ones anyway. There's loads of sow thistle, sticky weed, dandelions, dock, a few stingers, then lots of ones I don't know. I don't want to pull up any little flower seedlings coz the garden looks bare at mo and I'm hoping some other stuff will sprout up.

You should find most of them listed below. It'll save you having to photograph everything

No. 1: Smooth sow thistle, yes it's safe for rabbits. There isn't much a rabbit won't eat

Out weeding this morning, I might have to go and take more photos, there's so many I'm don't know??

Sadly I have identified all my bluebells as Spanish or hybrid, not native such a shame as I thought they looked lovely... But now not sure what to do as I don't want to contribute to the problem...

Thanks for some speedy replies yeah! sorry the pictures went on twice! not got the hang of this yet!!

I'm pleased to hear that two of the 'weeds' might be poppy and forget-me-not! Not so pleased about the euphorbia, that used to seed and spread all round my old garden

Yes, the fourth picture does have prickly spots on, I'll look up teasel online, not sure what it looks like, but that plant is all over my front garden!

I'll test the rabbits in a small bit of the thistle, there's so many different types of thistle I'm never brave enough to feed it until I know it's safe!?

The one in your first picture (with the yellow flower) is definitely sow thistle - guinea pigs love it so I presume it will be safe for rabbits too.

Is one teasel - the one with large leaves - does it have prickles?
Its really hard to make out your photos are they are duplicated. I tried to edit them but gave up

Picture 2 looks like poppy, 3 is spurge as Jeanied said in the euphorbia family, 5 looks like forget me not.

In picture no 3 - top row counting from the left - I think the green plants are euphorbia. Do they have white sap when snapped? Careful though, the sap can cause allergic reactions.

    Plant / weed identification please...

Hi, I hope I've found the right place for identifying weeds / plants... My new garden has so much in that I can't identify!! Here a just a few that I'm pretty sure are weeds a dare spreading like crazy.. I know one is a type of soy thistle, I was hoping someone could name it so I know whether or not it's safe for rabbits. The others I just wanted to check. I have one more that I forgot to take a photo of but I'm pretty sure it's Lords and Ladies, any ideas on how to get rid of it?? It's spreading across the lawn
