  • Brown Apple Leaves

Anyone know what this is on my bramley tree.

I've looked about and the only thing I can find is potassium deficiency: here

Now if I'm reading this right I can simply work a bit of bonfire ash in around the base. Is that right? If that is what it is.

(you might need to lean back a bit, my old camera's a bit blurry these days

Not sure why this thread was moved here as I'm not sure it is a pest or a disease, but a nutritional problem, hence putting it in the fruit forum.

        Hi PDBlake,

        Welcome to the vine!

Can't find my pests and deseases book at the mo but Mum and Dads Bramley has something similar.

From memory it is some sort of fungel infection along the lines of fire blight. Bitter Pit (sunken brown patches on the apples) is the nutrition one.

Will try to get back to you after I find my book!

The weeks and the years are fine. It's the days I can't cope with!

It appears to be on only one half of the leaf - strange! Are you sure it's not some sort of physical damage?
