Every year I think I'll get the lawn looking great but never get round to it. I'm determined to get a semi decent lawn next year but I've got some annoying issues. Weeds!
Firstly, I have what I think is couch grass which is like a big clump with longish grass arching over. Also I have a lot of this straw like grass and even though where I have feed the lawn seaweed and sulphate of ammonia and added more grass seed which is looking a nice deep green but the straw type grass make it look terrible and patchy.
1. With the couch grass should I use a weed killer or cut it out?
2. The straw type grass, which is a pain to rake out as it's not loose... any ideas how to get rid of this?
