And yet you said in your first post it looked like an arum......

      This
is a very good site for identifying UK wild flowers - the left hand column allows you to identify by all sorts of different criteria - colour, leaf shape, flowering time, TASTE, number of petals etc.

Happy sampling - (what flowers would you like?)
      Location - Leicestershire - Chisit-land
      Endless wonder.

We thought it might be some kind of crazy wild horseradish.
Tomorrow I might have a bash at that plant that looks like ginger but I am certain it is cyclamen. That is a name I couldn't for the life of me remember when I was showing BB round the gardens. Bloomin empty headed day I had.
I'll have a look at that site Mothhawk when my headache has gone a bit more, thank you.

I don't know! Let me have a quick look at that site.
Cyclamen I think but ive not actually felt the leaves so I don't know how thick and leathery they are yet. I really like cyclamen but not so much to let them take over, The patch is about 20 feet square!
When I dig my camera out Ill be able to take pictures, but I haven't even moved into my house where all my stuff is yet, im still living in my daughters house while all the renovations are going on. Its a bloomin nightmare!

If its celandine there are probably some yellow flowers amongst the leaves.
I hope its cyclamen as a carpet of those is so beautiful
