  • Perennial weeds

I moved here around 11 years ago and never worried about weeds really up to now. Not much soil to speak of so I reciently began a no-dig system. Now two of the no-dig beds are completely full of bind weed . Not sure where it came from exactly, I think it's everywhere, in the grass. Also have ground elder taking over two large areas. And one more, hedge wound worth, a kind of dead nettle whose roots take over every available inch of soil around it. I don't use weedkillers. Please don't tell me to move.......Got loads of brambles too.

Dig 'em out. Then burn, dry or drown them before you add them to your compost heap

Never tried to train a slug, I have heard you need to have a quiet talk to the chief slug, and the word passes on that way. I might try that...desperate measures....qb
