Whats the best way to get a vengance on these flying rats??? They have eaten EVERYTHING at OH mum's. Was considering sprinkling baking powder on everything so at least if the b@@@@@@ds eat any more they should explode (joke!)

But really, what works for you in repelling birds? Theres loads of them roosting in a tree just above the plots.

I don't think there is a fast enough shot to kill them all...imagine picadilly circus but in suffolk, except there arent any people feeding the birds bread but just a few plots that are too tempting

Plus I don't think a few bullets will really do the job, so will be pointless.

What you need is a Falconer or similar. They will bring a Bird of Prey to scare them witless for a while!

Netting is the only solution, and even then they'll try and peck through it

I use nets, but last winter the heavy snow brought it down and flying pigs had a birthday so this year i will go down the lottie after each snow fall to re-erect the nets.

Well your welcome to come and shoot the ruddy things. One of them is so fat the rather strong looking branch he sits on looking down on the remains of brassica's bends when his fat body is on it.

I grow the spring maturing PSB in between the climbing french bean canes with Murphy's beer cans swinging above them on strings. Seems to work a treat.
I read once that they look like magpies from above and the flying pigs go somewhere else to feed.
Its quite hardship emptying the cans, but some one has to do it..

Get a little yappy dog to scare them off. I think that's what Bob Flowerdew usually recommends on GQT when asked about birds!
