        No.
        Gooseberry sawfly is Nematus ribesii (it says that in the green box in your link )

        This new species is Nematus pseudodispar (birch sawfly)

          A good daily shake of the bush and bantams underneath is my sawfly remedy.

            I read today that planting broad beans by your gooseberry bush will help deter the sawfly. I have plenty of seeds so I'm doing that next year. The little critters stripped the whole bush in a single day this summer!
