  • Leaf Miner

I seem to have so much of this - it's started attaching my kale now. I feel I'm fighting a loosing battle against it... is there any sure fire method of getting rid of the bloody thing?

I'm trying to grow a giant beetroot this year and have already suffered a large loss of leaves due to leaf miner. I want to stick to organic control but it is time consuming. I would be interested if there are any suggestions too. At the moment I'm cutting out the maggots and disposing of the damaged leaf. I keep a look out for the white eggs on the back of the leaves too but theres always a few I miss.

Thanks rustylady - I'd googled before hand, but prefer the tried and tested approach by folks here

Looks like by hand is the main method, all my stuff is outdoors so not so sure if the wasp dudes will be that much use. It's very windy where they are too!
